The HRP is designed to train students into competent human capital management professionals. It serves two sets of students: those seeking to improve their skills as line supervisors and managers, and those seeking to pursue careers in human resource (HR) management.
The first twelve months of the program prepare students for supervisory roles in their respective roles. This training leads to the award of the Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHR).
Students who proceed beyond the CHR to successfully complete an additional six months of training in the program are awarded the Diploma in Human Resource Development (Dipl. HR). This additional training focuses on specializing students for a career in human capital development. It also provides the preparation needed by students to sit for the SHRM certification examinations. So at the end of the 18 months successful students would have earned the Diploma in Human Resource Development (Dipl. HR) and their SHRM certification, thus preparing them for successful careers in human capital development.
