The HRP is designed to support students in becoming effective human capital management professionals. It serves two sets of students: those seeking to improve their skills as line supervisors and managers, and those seeking to pursue careers in human resource (HR) management.
The first six months of the program prepare students for supervisory roles in their respective roles. This training leads to the award of the Certificate in Human Resource Operations (CHR).
Students may proceed beyond the CHR to successfully complete an additional three months of training for Human Resource Development (CHD) program. This additional training focuses on specializing students for a career in human capital development. It also provides the preparation needed by students to sit for the SHRM certification examinations, thus preparing them for successful careers in human resource management. At the end of HRP II, students should be sufficiently prepared for the entry-level professional certification in human resource management administered by the accredited certification organizations.
